Questions
Frequently asked questions
Everything creators and brands ask us before their first DealForge campaign.
How does the 20% commission work?+
DealForge adds a 20% brokerage fee on top of the creator's agreed compensation. If a creator's rate is $5,000, the brand is invoiced $6,000 — the creator keeps the full $5,000 and DealForge earns $1,000. Creators are never asked to discount their rate to cover our fee.
Do creators pay anything to join?+
No. Joining the DealForge roster, getting matched with brands, and having your deal negotiated and papered costs creators nothing. Our fee is always paid by the brand.
What size creators do you work with?+
We broker deals for creators from roughly 10K followers up to multi-million audiences across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and newsletters. Fit with the brand matters far more to us than raw follower count.
How long does a deal take to close?+
Most campaigns go from brand brief to signed agreement in 7–14 days. Rush activations can move in as little as 72 hours when the creative brief is already locked.
Who handles contracts, usage rights, and exclusivity?+
We do. Every DealForge deal ships with a written agreement covering deliverables, timelines, usage rights, whitelisting, exclusivity windows, and revision limits — so neither side is negotiating those terms over DMs.
When do creators get paid?+
Payment terms are locked in the agreement before anything is filmed — typically net 30 from delivery, with a deposit up front on larger campaigns. We chase the invoice so creators don't have to.
What does a brand need to get started?+
A rough budget, a target audience, and a sense of the outcome you want. Send a brief through the contact form or book a call and we'll come back with a shortlist of vetted creators and projected total cost including the 20% fee.
Can I manage my campaigns myself?+
Yes. Creators and brands can create an account and track every campaign — status, payout, dates, and notes — from the DealForge dashboard.
What if a campaign falls through?+
If a deal is cancelled before deliverables begin, no commission is owed. If it's cancelled mid-flight, the agreement's kill fee schedule applies and the commission is prorated to the amount actually paid to the creator.
Do you work outside the US?+
Yes. We broker deals globally and handle multi-currency invoicing, though contracts default to US law unless the brand requires otherwise.
